Works included all mechanical and electrical installations, with associated new roof plant, inter-floor connections and links to the existing CAT A services.
Working facing Manchester town hall during its full refurbishment added to the logistical complications of this project which was to bring a Liverpool company over to a new office in Manchester to allow for its ambitious expansion plans.
Originally contracted to just the top two floors when further expansion was required TJM where the obvious choice to negotiate and deliver on the tight timescale.
A range of bespoke joinery products (including fire doors) were designed and supplied by TJM’s in-house manufacturing division.
A range of logistical challenges were overcome including restricted access and storage spaces based in the building basement, out of hours material and waste movements, stringent noise restrictions and concurrent works on adjacent floors.
